COVID-19 Antibody Testing

COVID-19 Testing Available at Founders Family Medicine in Castle Rock

We are here to serve you and your family with COVID-19 testing options.

To manage the increased demand and provide the highest standards for safety, we require an appointment for all COVID-19 testing requests. No walk-in options are currently available.

We offer COVID-19 testing and COVID-19 antibody testing for current or new Founders Family Medicine patients.

COVID-19 Swab Testing

Rapid COVID-19 Tests

We use antigen testing to give patients the option to receive a quicker result. We perform this test by taking a nasal swab with results available usually within 15 minutes. Result accuracy with the antigen tests are moderate with a greater risk of false negatives than with the PCR tests.

2-Day or 4-Day COVID-19 Tests

Currently, PCR tests are considered more accurate than rapid testing. We use a nasal swab to perform the test and then send the sample to an outside lab for processing. The results usually average 2-3 days turn around. Demand for testing can affect turnaround time during COVID surges.

COVID-19 Antibody Testing

We offer COVID-19 antibody testing for healthy patients to determine if they have had a previous COVID-19 infection or exposure to COVID-19. We collect a blood sample to send to an outside lab for analysis.

The goal of this test is to identify potential, limited immunity against COVID-19. Currently, the accuracy level for these tests is unknown. To qualify for an antibody test, you must be symptom free and without any exposure to individuals positive with COVID-19 for at least 14 days. The test results can take up to 14 days to receive.

COVID-19 Vaccination

The availability of COVID-19 vaccines is changing rapidly. Colorado state and local health departments determine the distribution, amount and locations of the vaccine. Founders Family Medical Clinic has applied for the vaccination, but we have not received it as of yet. We will send out text and email communication to update our patients when we are able to start scheduling COVID-19 vaccination for the applicable persons based on phase of eligibility. To understand what phase of vaccination applies to you and when you can expect to schedule to receive the vaccine, please visit the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) at

Keep in mind that while the Center for Disease Control (CDC) is advising persons 65 and older, Colorado CDPHE has determined that the vaccine supply is not great enough yet to vaccinate younger than age 70, or those who do not meet the phase 1 current criteria.

Please use the following resources to create a portal account which will then allow you to be contacted when your tier or phase becomes available to schedule for COVID-19 vaccination – based on supply. Please be patient. The state and local health departments, hospitals, pharmacies, clinics and other institutions are doing their best in the given circumstances to vaccinate as efficiently and effectively as possible. You do not need to be associated or a member of the following institutions to sign up for vaccination:
