Layne Cryan
PA Layne Cryan brings more than a decade of healthcare experience to her position as a primary care provider with Founders Family Medicine. She’s provided preventive, urgent and emergency care, as well as chronic condition management, in multiple settings, including clinics, hospitals and urgent care sites-even in a mobile care unit.
Layne began her career as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with Children’s Hospital Colorado and then traveled throughout the U.S., caring for patients of all ages. After seven years as a respiratory therapist, Layne pursued her passion of providing all-encompassing medical care by completing a PA (physician assistant) program here in Colorado and then taking a full-time primary care provider position in rural Washington state. There, she delivered comprehensive patient care, from exams and treatment plans to in-office surgical procedures. She was also involved in community health education, establishing a local resource fair and successfully petitioning for mental health services.
Layne then returned to Colorado and worked as an Advanced Practice Provider in multiple urgent care settings and most recently with a large nationwide Direct Primary Care practice for the past couple of years before joining the team here with Founders Family Medicine. She is excited to be a part of her local medical community and establish lasting relationships with her patients here in Castle Rock. She is a passionate provider seeking to always provide patients with an open conversation about how to improve their health and enjoy life to the fullest.
When she’s not working with patients, the avid Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas Jayhawks fan spends time with her husband, young son, and their dog. Together, they travel and enjoy the outdoors: running, hiking, biking, fly fishing, camping, and skiing.
